I’m trying to rationalise the Audio / Visual equipment that I own but it isn’t easy after so many years of creating school resources, music and graphics. I’m loathe to get rid of any of the big stuff in case something fails. Also, I still, like many others think XP is a great platform for Music creation and I’m happy to keep XP for use offline with light edition software to then take to the full versions and to have a machine running Linux in the hope that I will one day find it as easy to use as Windows and OS X. More importantly, having all this hardware prevents me wasting money on new equipment. It’s a pity we live in such upgrade-happy cultures.
