More gothic horror

My wife and myself travelled to Manchester to meet our son yesterday. I’ve never seen a city so busy! I bought three more gothic / Victorian horror novels / anthologies from the two branches of Waterstones:

Tales of terror and Mystery by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Camilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu.

Volume 3 of The collected supernatural and weird fiction of Guy de Maupassant.

Will let you know about each as I read them.

    1. Perhaps a novella then? About 100 pages in the edition I bought. The other books were all anthologies. If I’d waited until i got to the Deansgate Waterstones I could have had a sizeable Le fan anthology for £2.99. 🙂

      1. I’ve just got it on my kindle for under a pound-but of course that can never measure up to a real book. As a fan of Stoker’s Dracula, I can’t believe I haven’t got around to reading it yet, so thanks for the prompt. Should be perfect for a winter night 🙂
