Last night’s Radio 3 programme “World on 3” featured the results of the Songlines magazine’s Award winners for 2014. Simon Broughton talked about the winners and their music and about the fact that this month’s edition of Songlines is the publication’s 100th issue. All very interesting stuff and it is nice that Catrin Finch and Seckou Keita’s album Clychau Dibon was awarded the best Cross Cultural Collaboration – kora and harp – possibly the two most musical instruments that mankind has evolved. I’m finally beginning to believe that one day music will know no barriers 🙂

I’m off to buy my copy of the 100th edition later today, perhaps I’ll have one of the 100 golden Womad tickets!
